The Role

The HLTA – Pastoral Lead (year groups tbc) plays a pivotal role in supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) and Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) needs. This position supports high-quality classroom practice, facilitates smooth transitions and routines, and coordinates and deploys support staff to meet pupils’ dynamic pastoral and academic needs. A key focus of this role is maintaining a calm, consistent environment that promotes emotional regulation, wellbeing, and engagement with learning.

Joining The Propeller Academy Trust 2025!

Welcome to Woodeaton Manor School. We are a daytime Foundation Special School that offers a nurturing environment for up to 84 pupils. All our pupils have an Education Health and Care Plan (EHCP) and they have social, emotional and mental health difficulties. We currently cater for pupils in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Woodeaton Manor caters for a wide range of special educational needs, including the following diagnosed or described conditions:

  • Attachment Difficulty
  • Autistic Spectrum Disorder, including Asperger’s Syndrome
  • Dyspraxia
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • Specific Learning Difficulties, i.e. Dyslexia

Due to their SEND a large proportion of pupils require extended support from a range of multi-professional services.
